Join us for a creative afternoon where the art of botanical incense-making comes to life! We’ll begin by sharing a soothing herbal tea blend to settled into the space. Then, you’ll be guided through making your own botanical incense, using dried lavender stems as the base. We will have an assortment of resins and botanicals to learn about, and choose from to make your incense unique and set with intention.
You’ll learn how to work with makko powder—a natural bark powder traditionally used in Japanese incense making. Makko burns evenly and cleanly, adding no aroma of its own so the delicate fragrance of your herbs and flowers can shine through. Together, we’ll blend botanicals, shape your incense around the stems, and prepare them for slow, even burning.
You’ll leave with your handcrafted lavender stem incense, to fill your space with gentle, natural aromas and the joy of having made them by hand.
