About This Event
Join us to unwind your mind at Boochie - Kombucha & Wellness Bar this fall/winter for Sound Baths at Boochie - a series of restorative and immersive sound baths that invite you into a deeper state of consciousness, serve as an opportunity to unplug and relax, and promote self-inquiry/discovery.
A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience during which various instruments produce specific sounds, frequencies, and vibrations to shift brainwaves into a relaxed state. In this state, a person's innate healing abilities can work more effectively to bring them back into vibrational alignment while balancing the mind, body, and spirit.
Before this 60-minute sound bath taking place during the season of giving thanks, we’ll join together in a gratitude practice to help pause the hustle and bustle of life to connect with our hearts through sound, vibrations, intentions, and expressing gratitude. Then, Matty Makowski, a certified Sound Healing & Reiki Practitioner and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing, plays 8 crystal singing bowls, a Heng gong named Sunny, Tibetan singing bowls, Tingsha cymbals, and more instruments with historical reputations for promoting healing during this meditative experience.
TICKETS: $30 per person (includes sound bath + kombucha toast) Due to limited space, please finalize your registration by sending the $30 admission via Venmo to Jennifer Bullis-Makowski at @jennifermakowski (#4322) or pay in-person at either Boochie location during open hours.
WHAT TO BRING: We recommend bringing a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, cozy clothes, and water. Depending on the thickness of your yoga mat, you may also consider bringing something additional to lay on top of, like an extra blanket, sleeping bag, or even a pool float. Eye masks will also be available if needed to help enhance your relaxation. If you will need to sit upright, Boochie has a handful of cozy chairs available on a first come, first serve basis. Please let us know in advance if you will require a chair or other accommodations and bring a towel or blanket to place over the chair.
