***YOU NEED TO BRING A KITCHEN SCALE TO CLASS*** these can be found for around $10 at Amazon, Meijer, Wal-Mart….

Always wanted to make sourdough but felt a little… intimidough-ted? You’re in the right place. This beginner-friendly class is the perfect way to dip your toes (not literally) into the world of wild yeast and delicious, crusty bread—without the stress or confusion!

In this 2.5-hour workshop, we’ll get our hands floured up and create our very own dough babies. We’ll be mixing, stretching, folding, and talking all things sourdough while the dough does its thing. There will be plenty of time for questions, demos, and “a-ha!” moments in between.

Important note: We will not be baking in class. Why? Because good sourdough takes its sweet, bubbly time—and we want you to experience the full magic at home. You’ll head out with dough that’s ready to rise and shine, along with the know-how to keep your sourdough journey going strong.

✨What we’ll cover:

  • Making your dough with a bubbly, active starter (which I’ll provide!)

  • Practicing the stretch-and-fold technique without flinging flour across the room

  • Demystifying the sourdough timeline, from starter feeds to final bakes

  • How to care for your starter without feeling like it’s a needy pet

  • Baking tips—including how to get a crusty loaf even if you don’t own a Dutch oven

  • Every participant will receive their very own jar of active sourdough starter—plenty to use in class and take home to keep the magic going.

What’s Included: (You get to take these items home too!)

  • Glass jar with active start (for your dough and extra to take home!)

  • 4 Quart Plastic Container

  • Spatula

  • Flour

  • Salt

  • Gloves

  • Sourdough Guide (includes recipe, how to feed your starter, baking schedule, and alllll things sourdough Q&A)
