Versluis Park was created on the shore of a 50 acre man-made lake and designed to provide a fully accessible recreational experience.  Today, Versluis Park features playground areas, picnic facilities, horseshoes & volleyball, beach and swimming areas, a fishing pier, boating, and one mile paved walking trail. A large variety of fish are maintained in Versluis Lake: Bluegill, Carp, Catfish, Croppies, Gar Pike, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Sun Fish and Walleye. Versluis Park's swimming beach is open during the summer months starting May through September from 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM every day except on Friday's where the park will open at 10:00 AM. There is no fee to enter the park. The rest of the year, typically, when public schools are in session, Versluis Park maintains the hours of 7:00 AM - to sunset. Perfect for cooling off during those hot days of summer, the sandy beach at Versluis Park is great for family fun. Volleyball courts, playgrounds, restrooms, and barrier free access. Young and old alike can catch their limit from the Versluis Fishing Pier. Barrier free wheelchair access, safety rails, and seating make for an enjoyable family experience. A large variety of fish are maintained in Versluis Lake: Bluegill, Carp, Catfish, Croppies, Gar Pike, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Sun Fish and Walleye. Versluis has a large picnic area with a playground, picnic tables, volleyball court, BBQ's,  and a 1 mile paved trail to walk off the excess hotdogs.
